      Shaanxi Jiade Bio-technology Engineering Co., Ltd. worked out a primary development plan for the next two years based on its current situation and market environment at home and abroad. The company reformed the stock system, and introduced the advanced management patterns and expanded the capital so as to improve the management level and market occupancy to the international standard as well as increase the anti-risk ability.

    The company is reforming the stock system and preparing for the approval of ISO9001 and ISO14000 to enter the international market.

    The raised funds are mainly used the projects as follows:

    1. The continuous construction of GMP standardized soft capsule workshop. The imported soft capsule products are sold in the market, which can be produced by the company, such as lecithin, evening primrose oil and grape seed oil etc. The building of GMP workshop is the prerequisite of not only admittance to local drugs and health care food marketplaces, but also entrance to WTO. The workshop is designed with annual output 100 million soft capsules in one shift. Though the investment is great, same as the profit. Yolk lecithin is a good example.

    2. Development of Chinese Herbal Medicine Chinese herbal medicine is respectfully called as the quintessence of our country. A statistic showed that China accounted for only 3% of $16billion annual sales of Chinese traditional medicine in the world market. The export volume of Chinese patent medicines decreased 16.3% in 1999. The local market was severely impacted by various "western Chinese traditional medicine" and "botanic drugs". In fact, Chinese traditional medicine has a great opportunity in the world market for westerners are more objective to it. The strengthening idea returning back to nature terribly benefits the development of Chinese traditional medicine. People have been changing their understanding to Chinese traditional medicine. What's more, the modern science technology laid a base for deciphering the mechanism of Chinese traditional medicine. The new favorite in the world market is Chinese traditional medicines with a small prescription produced by Japan and Korea etc. Many patients favor even fat-reducing drugs, which are made from ginkgo leaf extract by France and Germany. In conformity with the international rules, the drugs without determining nature and quantity (i.e. molecular formulas) have difficulties in access to the world market. The phenomenon of cold big prescription and hot small prescription in the world market showed that the local Chinese traditional medicines' theory badly lagged. The pharmaceutical processing with lower additional value needs replacing with the fresh to change the passive situation that the traditional Chinese medicine is not suitable to emergency and difficult to determinate the nature and quantity. "Catalogue of Industries, Products and Technologies Vigorously Encouraged to Develop by State" is publicized in September 2000. Supercritical extraction is listed, among medicine production technologies, as one of four key developed technologies (supercritical extraction technology, membrane technology, crystal technology and chirality & split technology). In order to increasingly bring new products and strengthen its survival ability, the company will cooperate with Northwest University to develop the technology of local Chinese herbal medicines with supercritical extraction technology. So doing will keep the capability and technology of the company in the leading position in China. The company will try its best to develop a preparation product with a simple prescription in 2 years so as to develop the modernization and industrialization of local Chinese herbal medicine. The initial investment is RMB500, 000. The subsequent fund will come from 1%-3% of annual total sales.

    3. The company cooperated with Qinghua University with the available equipment and technical advantages. The production lines and relative equipment were added so as to raise the yolk lecithin's purity up to medicine-class level and greatly improve the additional value of the products. The application fields were wider, so the situation that the imported products held the market was broken. The products have occupied some shares in bio-pharmacy area.

    4. The first development & research center of supercritical fluid extraction was co-invested and co-constructed with Qinghua University and Northwest University. The center co-builds and shares service with the scientific research support such as science instruments, experiment animals, chemical reagent and documentary data. The open center accepts experiments, testing and research from various local scientific research units. The company gets full information about the technology's development to guarantee the technology in the local leading position.
